Sleeping 9 to 6

Well, we hit a milestone last night. Sophie slept from 9:12 pm to 5:58 am (sorry, I live by the digital clock). Woohoo! Of course, mom didn’t sleep all that time because she was too busy waking up wondering why Sophie wasn’t up. But the little one passed out and woke up with the sunrise; very hungry and with a large wet diaper.

Of course, she might not do that tonight, but there is always hope. It would be nice to get 9 hours of sleep every night. Perhaps I can make up for the gizillion hours I have lost over the past two and a half months.

Just thought I would let the world know that I could possibly not be a zombie anymore and that I won’t feel like falling asleep during prime time TV.

Linksys: “Goodbye Cruel World…”

Just a quick update to let you know that our internet communications may be less responsive than usual. The Linksys Wireless Range Extender (WRE54G) we use to “borrow” our internet connection from work decided that it just couldn’t go on. Kelly and I are very miffed that it lasted less than a year before giving up the ghost. We are also upset that it left no note to explain why it felt that life was not worth living. I wonder if the big electronics store in the sky accepts suicides?

We could just buy a replacement but I don’t want another Linksys coming into our house with it’s bad attitude turning all our other electronics against us. Instead, we ordered a D-Link (DWL-G710) for the same price. (Thanks Amazon!) Let’s hope this one doesn’t require a prescription to Prozac.

Update: The new D-Link came in and (with a little help from our network admin) installed perfectly. It is also way more powerful so it doesn’t need to live in the window.
