Zounds! A new look!

A long time ago in a blog far, far away.

A man and a woman started a blog to allow family and friends to virtually travel with them to countries on the other side of the world.
Upon their return home, this blog went unused for lack of anything interesting to say.
Until the woman became heavy with child, sparking new interest in things to share.
The old blog was re-purposed into a document of the new life that had entered their home.
But deep inside the web server, the old blog had begun to rust and the man knew something had to be done…

As you have noticed, the blog has undergone some significant new changes. Instead of hoping you will read through lots of text; which no one ever does; the top 9 posts are now displayed with a picture to encourage you to explore past the top few. The header has been reduced and new navigation to make getting around simpler. Near the bottom, the categories are listed to further aid times when you want to find that post you can’t remember the title of.
Finally, some tremendous improvements have been implemented under the hood to keep away the SPAM. Unlike Attack of the Clones, I am hoping that the new technology I have installed will make for a better blog reading experience for you to enjoy.

By the way, lots of new Sophie Photos available on Flickr.

  4. Yes, this blog is running on WordPress 2.5.1 with the really unique theme The Unstandard. Both WordPress and the theme are completely free but you will need to have your own non-Windows web site/server to install them on. All of the links are at them bottom of the page.
