Hello to all of you living in the outside world. I’ve tried to write an update twice throughout the first week but Sophie would always need something and I’d completely forget. Actually, that’s pretty indicative of just about everything right now.
Example:
Greg: *thinks to himself* I’m going to get a glass of water. *Greg stands and gets a glass out of the cupboard*
Sophie: “WAAAAAA!“
Greg: *goes to change diaper/pick up/help with feeding*
Sophie: ZZzzzzzz
Greg: *walking back into kitchen* “Why is this cup in the middle of the counter?”
Despite the small bouts of amnesia, everything has been going very well for us. Sophie is a wonderful little girl and it is difficult to imagine what we did before she came into our lives. She eats well, sleeps very well, and is endlessly fascinated with sounds. We never tire of watching her wake up and stare at the world around her with such wonder. We are smitten with everything she does…well, almost everything. We could really use less poop.
We want to say thank you to all of you who prayed and gave us well-wishes. It means a lot to know you’re bringing a child into a loving community of family and friends. We ask that you be patient with us if we don’t call, write, or visit enough as our whole world has changed and we are trying to establish new routines. We will still update this blog and continue to add more photos to our Flickr account.

We here on this end are just enjoying the wonderful photos of Miss Sophie. She is a beautiful little girl!!! My kids ask everyday…“Mom, can you check Greg & Kelly’s blog to see if there are new pictures of Sophie???” LOL They are all completely and totally infatuated with her. I am sure when they see her in person …they will be in awe.
it sounds to me like you guys are doing great. Enjoy these moments because they flee all too quickly.
Thanks for the updates & chance for us to see pictures of your life with Sophie!
Love you guys!
