It’s day 2 for little Sophie and she is doing great. The doctors tell us she is feeding well for only being a few days old and mom is enjoying the intimacy of feeding times. On the other hand, my intimate times with her involve diaper changes and burping. Maybe this is why guys think bodily humor is so funny.
We both can’t believe this amazing little life.
Kelly is recovering still and I am doing my best not to get sick. My parents brought Kelly’s mom yesterday so we are well taken care of. The hospital staff at Lakeland Regional are fantastic and we have both been telling the nurses how under appreciated they are.

Greg, on diaper changes:
1. Although it’s less frequent with girls, boys aren’t the only ones who can give you a surprise fountain. Cold air and naked babies are a dangerous combination. Keep a washcolth ready for quick coverup.
2. You think it stinks now, just wait until you start solid foods.
3. Babies have incredibly strong legs that will fight diaper installation at every chance.

So glad to hear all is well. Your baby girl is a beauty! I printed the pics you have on flickr and took them to Grandma yesterday. Of course, doting Great-Grandma cannot wait to hold her. She talks about her everytime on the phone & how beautiful she is. Katelyn & DJ are in love with her already & Natalee just keeps asking when she will be able to play with her. LOL I’m sure as Sophie grows they will have some fun times. (just as we did as kids)
