Just a wee update before we all eat our­selves into mini-comas of thank­ful­ness.
Kelly and I had our lat­est doctor’s visit this morn­ing to find that yet again…wait for it…nothing has changed! Sophie is healthy. Kelly is healthy. We still wait. Actually, it’s good news to get almost carbon-copy checkup results in the pos­i­tive but we feel it’s about time for this train to get mov­ing. Kelly actu­ally came to me the other morn­ing in excite­ment over hav­ing painful con­trac­tions through the night. Sadly, pain seems to be the only indi­ca­tion of progress we cur­rently have.

The cur­rent plan is that if Sophie doesn’t make her grand entrance before the next doc­tor appoint­ment, we will turn on a light at the end of the tun­nel by mak­ing a birthing plan to induce.

In related news, we are plan­ning the most uncom­pli­cated thanks­giv­ing hol­i­day. Hooray for fam­ily and friends will­ing to travel in order to eat thanks­giv­ing feast off of tray tables in our tiny liv­ing room. I think we have enough chairs…
