Doing Stuff Before the Baby

Painting the Strike GundamMy pre-baby preparations have involved many things: supporting Kelly, money stuff, insurance stuff, scouring the house for things we are going to place out of reach, etc. The thing that is taking up the most time, however, is hobby stuff. I’ve been trying to quickly learn some of the most time-intensive stuff while I can still get extra sleep. This month, I decided to get serious about my Gundam modeling since my robot army has grown past the point where I’m satisfied with just putting them together. I’ve been learning how to plan custom coloring, prepare the model, airbrush colors and clear-coats, and use real paint for panel lines. It has taken lots of online research, trying to understand videos that aren’t in English, and some very messy mistakes but I think I’m getting the hang of the whole process. I will post my progress when I finish my first custom paint job.
