My mom came and spend six days with Greg and me. It was wonderful to have my mom around, especially as I go through pregnancy. Sometimes I wished we lived closer so I could see her, my Dad and my brother and his family. It is difficult to think that I will have my mom and dad’s grandchild and they will only see him or her once or twice a year. But we live here and they live there. It would be quite difficult to uproot and move to Michigan (especially since I am not that crazy about snow).
But she came and we had a good time. We put two puzzles together, played board games, watched movies (one at the historic Polk Theater) and drove out to Winter Park for Slim Jims (mmmm Slim Jims). I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her. Mom also got to take a tour of the hospital where I will be having my baby. I am glad she got to see where I will be when the little one is coming into this world. I think it made us all feel better to see where it will all be happening.
Not much to report on the baby front. We will be learning the gender of the baby on July 3rd. That will be exciting. I am sure Greg will make a great post after we find out, so stay tuned!
